Latest company news about JINPAT Slip Ring Helps University Robot Team

As we all know, a slip ring is a device used to transmit power, signals, data, etc., to maintain electrical connections in a rotating or rotating system. In the robot, the slip ring has a wide range of applications, especially in the need of rotary degrees of freedom of robotic arms, platforms, sensors and other devices, the importance of the slip ring is self-evident

Among them, on the robot arm and rotating platform, the multi-joint robot arm and rotating platform of the robot need to maintain the transmission of power and signals during the movement. The slip ring can be installed on the rotating joint of the robot arm, so that power, signals and data can remain connected during the movement of the robot arm without the problem of winding or disconnecting. In mobile robots, some mobile robots, such as inspection robots, unmanned vehicles, etc., may need to maintain power supply and data transmission during movement. The slip ring can be installed on the robot's wheels or connecting parts, allowing it to turn freely without affecting the electrical connection.

Recently, the ROBOMASTER competition is in full swing, the custom slip ring sponsored by JINPAT Southwest Jiaotong University HELIOS team, which is characterized by being equipped with 12-way 2-ann cable, which not only meets the power needs, but also does signal shielding of 6 power cables to ensure that the movement is not distorted. In addition, it has the characteristics of small size, light weight, accurate size and flat equality, equipped with 12 mounting holes, the outer diameter is only 120 mm, and the mass is only 880 grams.

The design and selection of slip rings need to consider many factors, including current transmission capacity, signal transmission performance, durability, friction and wear. At the same time, in order to ensure a stable connection, the slip ring usually needs to be regularly maintained and cleaned to prevent dust or dirt from affecting the transmission effect. At the same time, JINPAT also wishes all university students to show their technical style in the ROBOMASTER competition and achieve ideal results!
