Latest company news about Major Model Types of JINPAT Hybrid Slip Rings

Slip ring is also called collector ring. The latter is more often used by people in the military industry. The collector ring is an indispensable component of many weapons and military devices. Since modern military devices are sophisticated and highly technical, slip rings on them tend to be highly integrated. As a slip ring manufacturer with a long history, JINPAT Electronics has developed hundreds of military slip rings, most of which are hybrid slip rings. Now let take a look at the major models of JINPAT hybrid slip rings.

To begin with, let’s learn about JINPAT Optical Electronic hybrid slip rings. This hybrid solution is generally made by integrating an electrical slip ring with an optical slip ring. The small optical electronic hybrid slip ring consists of a single mode optical slip ring. This hybrid solution is applied in surveillance cameras and other reconnaissance equipment. In terms of heavy machinery facilities, like winches for military cruise, optical electronic slip rings with multi-mode are often used. With the development and innovation, optical electronic slip rings will soon be applied to the radar system.

Secondly, slip rings are also important in various radar systems with rotary antenna. These slip rings are either integration of high frequency slip ring and pancake slip ring or high frequency slip ring and through bore slip ring. The high frequency rotary joint is generally installed in the through hole structure. This solution is applicable when the number of high frequency signal channel doesn’t exceed 4.

Another hybrid slip ring solution for radar is to adopt the traditional slip ring wiring method. This hybrid slip rings are with over 4 high frequency signal channels. So they can fit in radars with a relative high peak power. Such integration is generally based on through hole slip ring with bore diameter up to 60mm. On such foundation, excellent performance of the IF signals can be ensured. The phase angle change can be kept below 8°. The phase coherence between different groups is below 2° while insulation resistance is over 65Db. Delay time between various groups is kept under 0.1ns.
